Mazda will launch a special edition Mazda RX8 PZ in the UK early spring 2006.
Apparently the sports coupe will be available in Black or Silver, limited to 800 builds and will be upgraded with a ‘Sports Pack’.
Mazda are also pressing ahead with a hard top version of their all conquering softop. Called the Mazda MX5 Roadster Coupe and available in the third quarter of 2006, it will be sold as a separate model from the rest of the roadster range. Prices will be around £2000 more than the softop version and will incorporate state-of-the-art technology on the folding roof.
The ‘Performance Series’ treatment will also be given to the 3 later in 2006 and sold into the UK market alongside its bigger brother the 6 MPS
Designed to tackle head on the recent surge in high performance hatchbacks like Vauxhalls ‘VX’ range, it is thought the 3 MPS’s engine will be a slightly smaller block but will still produce over 200bhp.
