Kia’s top 10 UK technicians will have their knowledge and abilities put to the test next week when they look to win a place in the Skill World Cup in South Korea.
The top 10 have been chosen from more than 500 Kia technicians up and down the country who entered the national competition.
The winner of the UK final, being held on November 30th at Kia Motors (UK) Ltd’s Technical and Training Centre in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, will go through to represent the UK in the finals in Seoul early next year where they will compete against technicians from all over the world.
Kevin Todd, Customer Support & Service Development Manager for Kia Motor (UK), said: “The finalists were chosen after an assessment which tested their fault finding, logic and diagnostic ability.
“In the final they will have 5 more exercises, this time working directly on vehicles. The competition is tough but there is huge enthusiasm for the event as shown by the number of entries we have had this year. It’s a great opportunity as well to go to South Korea, visit Kia’s car factories and experience Korean culture.”
The Skill World Cup has three categories – engine, chassis and electrical – in which technicians undergo practical tests to assess their ability to identify and repair problems on a test car plus a written examination.
hi Brazil will win the world cup!
Hello to everybody,I like your site and it looks very interesting and easy to read, really!. I am from Denmark. I love the Soccer and cannot wait till 11th June, can you?.But there is a problem camming from FIFA. It is that doesn´t choose the best teams in this planet for the World Cup which it should otherwise don´t call the World Cup a final, if you want to play football for the spirit of competition then go to the olympics games. this is exactly what the World Cup is turning to, and it su…, ire needed to beat argentina to be in and is not, jap beat lowly teams as bahrain, qatar, kuwait, to be in, is this justice I dont think so, just because you are in the World Cup it doesn´t mean that you have the quality to be in like jap can attes. Any way, I desire to see a great final on 11th July and my favorite winner team is England, and my favorite player is Ricardo Kaka.Good blog and keep going.Cu!
