The first sale of the all-new Mazda MX-5 roadster has been completed at Inverness dealership Macrae & Dick Mazda. Malcolm MacGarvin, from Glenlivet, Banffshire collected his eye-catching new Mazda MX-5 on Wednesday 26 October from the showroom on Harbour Road.

Malcolm, a customer returning to Macrae & Dick, upgraded his previous Mazda MX-5 example to one of the brand new versions, which comes with a fresh athletic look, sporty new engines and perfect 50:50 weight distribution.

"After thoroughly enjoying the previous version of the Mazda MX-5, I was keen to try out the new model," he said. "And I was not disappointed - Mazda has made a host of improvements and it handles better than ever. The Macrae & Dick staff were very helpful as always and I'll definitely continue to use them for my servicing and accessories needs."

"I'm not surprised Malcolm has stayed with the Mazda MX-5 and purchased the third generation model," added Macrae & Dick Sales Executive David Cordiner. The Mazda MX-5 appears in the Guinness Book of Records as the world's biggest selling open top, two-seater sports car with over 725,000 examples sold since its launch in 1989. The all-new Mazda MX-5 is on sale now priced from £15,600 to £18,900 on the road.
