Mazda Increase UK Market Share

Mazda Motors UK is celebrating a storming month of September sales at over 9,000 vehicles sold, achieving its highest ever monthly passenger car market share at 2.2 per cent beating its previous record in September last year of 2.1 per cent. Overall, September was Mazda’s third best ever month after March 2005 and September last year with 9,198 registrations.

Triple triumph goes to Mazda RX-8, Mazda 3 and Mazda 2 for their second highest month of sales since introduction at 1,400, 3,400 and 800 respectively. Meanwhile pick-up sales were the highest ever for Mazda B-Series at 214 – beating the Toyota Hilux by 22 per cent

Giving an overall total car sales figure of 9,086 , 102 more sales than the previous year of 8,984. Throw in 214 Mazda B-Series units and it takes the grand total to 9,212, giving Mazda a 2.15% market share.

Mazda’s national market share YTD stands at 1.88 % slightly down on the previous year of 1.93 % for 2004.
