Kia Rio Goes To Tesco

To help with the launch of the all new Kia Rio, the Korean manufacturer is turning to Tesco’s to get its message across.

As part of its launch strategy, Kia will utilise media at Tesco stores nationwide, including:

  • Advertorial in Tesco magazine (available from late October until December, reaching 4 million consumers
  • 6 Sheet Poster campaign at the entrance to major Tesco stores (Mid October for 2 weeks)
  • 12,000 petrol pump nozzles for 4 weeks at 372 Tesco filling stations
  • Vehicle displays x 2 days nationally (target of one for each dealer)
  • E-mail to Tesco ClubCard database (2 million on 16th October)

Kia’s events agency Pro-Ex, will also be liasing direct with the dealer network to organise displays around the stores.

In other Kia news:

Carens
The 1.6 EX is no longer available, while the rest of the Carens range will get minor product upgrades. The changes include, passenger seat armrest and new alloy wheel coating and NVH improvement.

Sedona
A DVD system will remain standard across the the model line up until the end of the year.

Sportage
Diesel Automatic versions have now run out (Sportage product revisions)

Sorento
A new standard 16” alloy wheel design will be introduced on XE and XS models before the end of the year. Satellite navigation system, side chrome bars and 6 disc CD autochanger will continue to be part of a dealer fit OE pack.
