Hummer will launch its smallest SUV, the H3, in the UK early in 2007. It will be a right-hand drive and feature both petrol and diesel engines.
However it may be difficult to find a home for them unless they can find suitable land in which to build their controversial showroom designs on.
Many residents in the US reacted angrily when the GM-owned firm tried to open the showrooms, which feature a long convex roof and huge H-badge on the front.
Ray Schmit, recently appointed European director says: “They’re a way to comminicate that Hummer is unique and different. But we don’t always get what we want, we know that, and there are planning codes to abide by.”
Hummer only plan to build one or two dealerships in the UK.
