Peugeot will launch their new 407 Coupe in January 2006 at around £18,000. When it goes on sale, there will be initially two engines, a 160 bhp 2.2-litre and 204 bhp 3.0-litre V6 petrol units, followed by a 2.7 litre turbo diesel (HDi) that was developed with Ford.
The new Coupe has been designed to carry four passengers plus their luggage comfortably, a trend that was recently set by Mazda with their unique RX-8.
Although Peugeot will introduce the car to the UK & European shores, there are no plans to launch in the US where anti-French sentiment is still at an all time high.
