Mazda Maintains Momemtum As Mazda 5 Hits Showrooms

Mazda maintained its momentum for sales in July as the all-new Compact-MAV (Multi Activity Vehicle) Mazda 5 hit the UK market. Total sales for July exceeded 3,300 units bringing the year to date figure to over 28,000 units. Market share year to date for the manufacturer that brought us Zoom-Zoom is 1.88 per cent keeping the Japanese car maker on track for an end of year sales target of around 50,000 units.

Mazda 3 sales are up 38 per cent over July 2004 at 849 units as popularity for this fresh alternative for the C-segment continues. Mazda’s baby of the range the Mazda 2 B-segment vehicle improved sales by 27 per cent on last July as consumers take advantage of free servicing and 0 per cent finance offers valid until the end of September.

The world’s most popular roadster continues its popularity with less than a month of availability left on the current vehicle. Mazda MX-5 sales were 7 per cent up on last July at just over 500 units.

Mazda 6 remained the volume seller in July at just over 1,000 units, as Mazda introduces the new upgraded model to dealer showrooms.
